Lenovo IdeaPad U350 is a computer that falls somewhere between the segments, mini-computer ( netbook ) and ordinary laptop. It is an ultraportable laptop in a stylish form that is easy to take with them, but bigger than a mini computer.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U350 I have test driven the Windows 7 installed instead of Windows Vista, which would otherwise have been the operating system that U350, which usually comes with. Now that Windows 7 is launched, I think it is better to run with it.

The appearance of the IdeaPad U350 looks different than what we're used to in terms affixed,. This is really a matter of taste, but I like the design. The lid is glossy black with embossed pattern, and the keyboard is surrounded by brushed metal. It is both stylish and practical, because it makes your computer more resistant - metal will not bend like plastic can do.

Snygg design

After I test drove the computer I looked up what other reviewers thought of looking and it has really separated themselves properly. Datormagazin sawn appearance quite whereas C | Net raised it to the skies. It certainly proves how subjective reviews are.

U350 is a very light machine and it weighs just over 1.6 kilograms. For the thickest, the computer is 2.5 inches. The screen is in 16:9 format at 13.3 inches, and offers a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The keyboard is nice to write on and the trackpad is no objection. A third mouse had to be desired, though there are not many laptops that have it.

Since this is an ultraportable PC, Lenovo has opted to compromise away the optical drive. Thus, there is no CD / DVD in your computer. Some users will of course miss the point, but I personally do not remember when I last used my optical drive in addition to installing Windows 7. It can of course get an external unit that connects via USB.

Good with HDMI for movies

If we look at the ports that are offered, there are three USB ports, audio in and out, card reader, network port, VGA connector and HDMI port. The latter I think is appreciated. I tried to connect the computer to my TV and it went quickly and smoothly. In Windows 7, I configured the TV as extended viewing area, and then chose the sound settings in Control Panel to use the TV as a sound device. Then it was just to pull off a movie in Windows Media Player on the expanded screen space.

Can also be mentioned that the IdeaPad U350 has a wireless network with support for 802.11.b/g/n and Bluetooth. The wireless network card thought I had good reception when it was just a bit better connectivity than most other notebooks I've tested on my wireless router.

The performance is not cool

So how does the computer in their everyday work? As expected, I can say. With a ULV processor and graphics chips Intel (Mobile GMA 4500), you can not expect to be able to run some heavy games like. It flows so well for better than a mini computer, and I have not experienced the U350 has a dull computer when I used it normally. To play the movie went as I said, smoothly.

The screen I give thumbs up to. I like the 16:9 format and high-glossy LED screenhas good color and perfectly okay sting. The viewing angle is like that. When I was sitting high and looking diagonally down the screen brightness right was hard. Quite looking straight at the screen to get the best picture.

You can get IdeaPad U350 with battery at either 4 or 8 cells. The former gives you up to five hours of battery life, while the 8-celliga battery will support up to ten hours. In practice, the time somewhat less than that, especially if you use the wireless LAN and Bluetooth.

Should I add up the computer, I think it's been a nice friendship. IdeaPad U350 is a sleek and smooth ultraportable that has worked fine. It's not a monster machine, but it is directed against those who primarily use your computer to run Microsoft Office, surf, send e-mail and do everyday things.

Lenovo IdeaPad U350 is the time of writing, a price tag of more than 6300 crowns as PriceSpy. Below, they see the daily price information.

203 billion spam. So many were sent there during the summer this year. Every day. The Cisco IronPort who regularly mellanrumtar provide statistics on how much junk mail ( spam ) is sent, and in two years, the increase in summer was 120 percent! Here are tips to help you avoid spam.

It is in a press release that Cisco IronPort go out with statistics that tell how sick much spam is sent today. They explain that the spammers can hardly take leave during the summer. So true ... Spam continues to increase, after the significant decline in a few months ago when the ISP McColo, which has given bandwidth to spammers, was shut down.

Now make use of so-called spammers botnets ( botnets ) to send out their spam. It is more efficient in many ways, because it becomes harder to stop the delivery because the senders are sometimes hundreds of thousands of computers worldwide. Moreover, it's faster. The problem of botnets is based, inter alia, in that people do not run good antivirus program .

Protect yourself from spam

The first line of defense against spam is to never give away your email address to suspicious places, and above all to never ever post your address on the web. Is it visible on the Web will spammers so-called robots to find it. They have software to surf around the net in search of email addresses.

Did you get caught in a spam registry, you can never get out of it. Many spammers do with a link to cancel your registration in their spam, but click on the confirm only that you actually read the email and then increase the value of the address, resulting in even more spam.

When you enter an email address for example, to download a software, you can use services that give you a temporary address. This address usually works for a few minutes. It is enough for you to receive a reply with a link to the download or login. 10 Minute Mail is a service that is completely free.

Curious as to what is going on in your office when you are not home? Yawcamis a free application that allows you to build a monitoring system with a computer and a webcam .

Yawcam is a handy little program that will not only be used as monitoring tools can also be used to set up a Web server where people can look at your webcam. The program can also fill up images from the camera via FTP or save them anywhere on your local computer.

As regards monitoring functions, there are many options. You'll find them under the Window / Motion Detection in the main program window. In the new window that pops up, there are three tabs to choose from - Motion Events, Actions, and Settings. In the first tab you can see a log of when the program has detected motion in the image that your webcam shows. Clicking on a current event, you check the time and date for this and you also see the picture as the program captured the moment.

Under Actions, you can choose what program to do when an event is detected. Here you can choose whether the application should save it as captured by the webcam on either your computer or on an FTP server. You can also set the program sends an e-mail to you, play a sound to the speakers and launches an external program.

Settings tab allows you to adjust the areas of the webcam image that program should look for moves in. You can also adjust how sensitive the motion sensor should be and how fast movements that the program will detect.

Once you have completed the setup you want, you have to place the camera in a handy location, like a little hidden. Since the USB cable to the webcams are rarely more than a few meters long can an idea be to obtain an extension cord so you can more easily place the camera where you want it.

Despite a cool market, is launching the Panasonic a series of Blu-ray player , and standalone players as well as the world's first portable bluray player and finally, three home theater system with Blu-ray.

Bluray is a technique I personally do not think will survive . Plastic sheets are on the output for the benefit of Internet-based movie services, and studies have shown that typical home users are satisfied with the quality that DVDs are performing. But it will still have some movies and some players. Panasonic is one of the producers so as to keep the format, and they are launching a series of external players for home users.

DMP-BD80 and BD60 are two fairly ordinary player that can handle almost everything you would expect from a Blu-ray player for home theater. They handle 7.1 sound, has networking features and technologies to scale up the images from DVD movies.

The portable player DMP-B15 is the world's first portable bluray that lets you watch movies in 16:9 format wherever you find yourself (eg on the train or plane).

And finally, three pieces of home theater system with Blu-ray player. SC BTX70 is a 2.1 system in a slim design that is capable of delivering 7.1 sound even if there are only three speakers. SC-BT205 and SC-BT200 is a bit more advanced and In particular, support to play the movie from YouTube and view photos from Picasa.

Prices are set to between 3499 million and 9999 crowns - higher than expected, after the players presented on the CES show in January.
